Dr. Rajashree K
Associate Professor and Principal
Dr. Rajashree. K is an Associate Professor of Law with more than 15years of experience in academia and the corporate sector. She holds a PhD in law from CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bengaluru. Her research focusses on the Critical Analysis of Legal Aid Education in the state of Karnataka. Dr. Rajashree completed her Post Graduate and Under Graduate programme from University Law College, Bangalore University, Bengaluru. She is the recipient of several prestigious awards such as Vombatkere Gurunandan Rao Memorial Award and Prof. Ravi Shankar Gold medal for her exemplary performance in Labour Laws, Human Rights Law and Environment Law. She has secured 8th rank in BAL, 3rd rank in BA., LLB and 1st rank in LLM.
Dr. Rajashree has previously worked as Sr. Assistant Professor at Ramaiah College of Law, Bengaluru where she has held the position of Chairperson for the Post Graduate and Research Council. Rajashree comes with experience of having worked in Fortune 500 companies before joining academics.She has worked as Manger-Legal in Sterlite Industries India Limited, Tuticorin, Chess Management Services Limited, Chennai & Delhi and Anup.S. Shah Law firm, Bengaluru. She has published in various journals of national and international repute.
Dr. Rajashree is also the recipient of various research projects and grants. Dr. Rajashree in her career spanning more than a decade has taught various subjects such as Labour Laws, Constitution Law, Law of Contracts, Law of Torts, Research Methodology, Environment Law, Law of Alternative Disputes Resolution mechanisms and Professional Ethics. She is currently the Secretary, Academic Division of the Indian National Association of Legal Professionals, New Delhi.
