Ms. Akshatha Poovappa N, Assistant Professor of Political Science completed her B. A and B.Ed by securing First Class with Distinction from Mangalore University, Mangalore, and pursued her M.A in Political Science with First Class with Distinction from the same institution. She is also doing her doctoral studies (Ph.D.) in the area of Public Policy and Governance at Jain (Deemed-to-be) University, Bangalore. In 2021, she qualified for the Karnataka State Eligibility Test (K-SET) for Assistant Professorship conducted by Mysore University, accredited by UGC, New Delhi.

Additionally, she holds a Diploma in CTTC, B and C certificate in NCC. With over seven years of experience in academia, Ms. Akshatha’s teaching interests include International Relations, Political Science, and Public Administration. She has actively participated in numerous national and international seminars, workshops, and conferences across India, where she has also presented research papers. Her contributions to academia are further highlighted by several national and international publications. Currently, Ms. Akshatha Poovappa serves as the NAAC Coordinator.
