Mr. Jithin George Jackson K is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Law at SVKM’s NMIMS, Kirit P. Mehta School of Law, Mumbai, focusing on corporate governance and financial distress. He holds an LL.M. from the National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam, and a B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) from Tamil Nadu National Law University. In addition to his academic qualifications, he is enrolled in the Executive Programme in Corporate Secretaryship, further augmenting his knowledge in corporate regulation and compliance.
Mr. Jackson is engaged in teaching critical subjects like Taxation, Civil Procedure Code etc. Known for blending doctrinal rigor with practical learning, he actively designs and delivers experiential modules that focus on legal drafting, client consultation, court procedure, and regulatory compliance. He also mentors moot court teams and student researchers and plays an active role in academic development initiatives at the institution.
He brings to academia a rich blend of practice and policy experience, having worked across judicial institutions, law firms, and corporate advisory.
His legal career includes representing the Government of India before the Madras High Court in matters related to corporate affairs, defence, and public sector governance. At M/s. B. Dhanaraj, Chennai, he advised major financial institutions on recovery and enforcement matters, and at M/s. K. Ramanamoorthy, he was appointed Legal Scrutinizer in merger proceedings before the National Company Law Tribunal.
Previously, he served as a Research Assistant at the Tamil Nadu State Judicial Academy, where he contributed to judge training modules, legal research publications, and policy-oriented curriculum development. His experience also spans insolvency resolution, legal audits, corporate litigation, and banking compliance through his roles at JVR Associates and the South Indian Bank.
Mr. Jackson has presented and published research on corporate law, constitutionalism, and insolvency, with contributions to journals such as Chartered Secretary and TNNLU Law Review, and conferences hosted by NLUO, TNNLU, and INDAM. His
