Visit to Karnataka Mediation Center

The experiential learning trip to the Karnataka Mediation Centre was part of the academic curriculum aimed at giving students practical exposure to mediation as an alternative dispute resolution method. It allowed students to go beyond textbooks and experience how mediation works in real life. They observed the actual or simulated mediation process, interacted with the mediator, and understood the structure and stages of mediation—from introductions to final settlements.

The trip helped students grasp the importance of neutrality, confidentiality, and voluntary participation. They also learned how mediators act as facilitators to guide parties toward mutual agreements. Overall, the visit was a valuable opportunity for students to connect theory with practice, appreciate the significance of ADR, and gain insights that support their legal education and future careers.
