The Department of Law, Soundarya college of Law (ADR Society) successfully organized an insightful session titled “The Future Proof Forum: Navigating Modern ADR & Digital Resolution”, aimed at enhancing students’ understanding of contemporary developments in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and digital justice mechanisms.
The session was led by Adv. Anitha Ravindran, Advocate, High Court, Mediator, and Trainer, who shared her extensive practical knowledge and professional experience in the field of arbitration, mediation, and conciliation. She provided valuable insights into the evolving role of ADR in modern legal practice and emphasized the growing significance of digital platforms in dispute resolution.
To make the session interactive and engaging, students participated in a creatively designed Chinese Whisper activity, conducted in a different and innovative style. This activity effectively highlighted the importance of clear communication, active listening, and accurate interpretation—essential skills in mediation and dispute resolution. Through this exercise, students experienced first -hand how miscommunication can alter messages and affect outcomes, reinforcing the need for precision and understanding in legal and ADR processes.
The event served as an enriching learning experience, encouraging students to develop practical communication skills while gaining deeper insights into the future of ADR and digital resolution systems.
