Meera B. Latha

Assistant Professor of Law

Ms. Meera B. Latha is a committed legal academician and administrator with over two decades of experience in legal education, academic leadership, and research. She holds a B.Com., LL.B., and LL.M. with specialization in Constitutional Law and Business & Trade Law from the University of Mysore and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. at REVA University, Bengaluru.

She has served as a Lecturer at Sarada Vilas Law College, Mysore, Principal at Sagar Gangothri College of Law and S.B.R.R. Mahajana Law College, Mysore, and Assistant Professor at KLE Society’s Law College, Bengaluru, and REVA University, Bengaluru. Her academic journey reflects a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, institutional leadership, and mentoring future legal professionals.

She has taught a broad spectrum of undergraduate and postgraduate law subjects, including Constitutional Law, Indian Contract Act, Labour Law, Law of Torts, Family Law, Banking Law, Insurance Law, Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), Criminal Procedure Code, Right to Information Act and other core law subjects.

She has actively participated in State and National-level seminars, conferences, and workshops, presented research papers, coordinated a National Law Conference, and delivered guest lectures on various legal issues organised by the District Legal Services Authority, Mysore.

Her teaching interests include Constitutional Law, Business and Trade Law, Human Rights, Labour Law, Artificial Intelligence and Law, Intellectual Property Rights, and other emerging socio-legal issues. Recently, she has published a research article titled “Artificial Insemination and Human Rights in India” in the Global Journal of Sociology and Anthropology.

Beyond academics, she has directed stage plays for engineering students for over a decade and performed as an actress in four productions at Rangayana, Mysore, reflecting her commitment to holistic education and cultural enrichment.
